2017 Allegheny Reservoir Clean-up

The 2017 (13th Annual) Allegheny Reservoir Clean-up will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

We'll meet at the Onoville Marina at 8 a.m. where everyone will sign-in and be given supplies (trash bags and gloves) prior to being taken to a designated spot on the reservoir.

If your scout, family and friends are interested in participating then please contact the Cubmaster or the Scoutmaster with a headcount so that we can get as many people to help with this clean-up.

Volunteers should bring:

  • Rain Gear - the cleanup will be completed rain or shine.
  • Layered Clothing - Individuals come prepared for a range of weather conditions, which can change rapidly in mid-May in southwestern New York and northwestern Pennsylvania.
  • Day Pack - Scouts be sure to prepare your pack and a pack for each volunteer.
  • Pocket Knife - Cub Scouts that have their Whittling Chip and Boy Scouts that have their Totin' Chip.
  • Waiver - Filled in Waiver from the Allegheny River Clean-up FAQ page.
  • Lunch (Food & Water) - Individuals are responsible for bringing their own lunch and snacks. The organizers will provide hot dogs, chips and beverages at the end of the day!
